Joshua has always seen shadows at the edges of his vision, they came free with his dissociative disorder. He knows what they look like. He knows when something isn't real. What he saw at the refinery wasn’t a shadow. It was a sign. Just like the nightmares that eat away at his mind while he sleeps, exposing the torn edges of reality to him with every restless night. The world is coming apart in front of his eyes, and if he doesn't do something about it, there might not be anyone left to care.

The Computer In The Sun is a work of science fiction, a fantastical tale of broken hearts and simulations and creatures the darkness hides from us. It’s about love and despair and a thousand other things that perhaps only I will ever know the extent of, but I hope you can gain something real from reading it, just as I have from writing it.
